If you look closely at any one of Harry's Americana paintings, you will see a black cat! For as long as he can remember, two or three cats* have roamed throughout his house. One morning he entered his studio and noticed multi-colored paw prints tracked across the floor. Apparently, one of the cats, Little Guy, had jumped up onto his taboret and walked in the wet paint on his palette. He thought, "He spends so much time sitting on my shoulders watching me paint, now he wants to be part of the painting." So, Harry painted him in! His wife, Betty, liked the addition and suggested that he put a cat in all his paintings. So, as you look at each painting, somewhere behind a bush, in a tree, or on a roof top, a little back cat will be looking at you! (*Currently, Nosie and Harley rule over the Wysocki household.)
